This week, we found ourselves heading to Wandsworth for a special onsite visit to the latest Pure Gym venue. As the first London site for the rapidly expanding, low-fee gym chain, it’s a big leap for the brand and when the doors open next week new members are in for a treat.

Not your traditional health club setting, the newest addition is built in a converted dance hall. Despite an amazing transformation to meet the building’s new requirements, the beautiful architecture, including 1920s dance hall arches, have been maintained to add a special touch to the venue.

It won’t be long before the masses are heading there once again to get their hearts pumping – although this time it’s more likely to be in a Zumba class than from a partnered Charleston.
