It’s official, sea air really can breed positivity in the work place, as we saw last week when we were named one of the best companies to work for in the UK – bagging top spot in the official Holmes Report ‘Best UK Consultancy to Work For’ survey 2012.
Dedicated to improving the value of our industry, the Holmes Group provides insight, knowledge and recognition to public relations professionals. With more than 84 firms in the EMEA region vying for the Group’s top accolade, the Holmes Report asked 5,000 employees for confidential feedback on their life in the workplace. Several staff from each company, selected at random, were quizzed on key areas such as training, salaries, company culture and staff morale, to name but a few.
Pegasus MD, Lisa Bradley commented on the win, “Being based in Worthing, only 200 yards from the beach, means we are able to recruit from a highly talented pool of ex London agency staff, tired of the City, but not of communications. Having said this we do not rely on our location alone, we work hard to attract and retain the right candidates. We have a staff buddy system to introduce employees when they start working at Pegasus and have established a Pegasus Training Programme; which is a formal training schedule of activities tailored to each staff level. Plus we reward our staff with a performance related bonus twice a year.”
