Our work

Brain Tumour Research

Sector: Public Sector & Not For Profit

Over the last year, we’ve been working with Brain Tumour Research – a nationwide charity comprising of 18 member organisations – to communicate the prevalence of brain tumours and the lack of funding for research in this area compared to other cancers.

Our work involves a number of specific awareness campaign threads, including an annual ‘Wear a Hat Day’ fundraising initiative. 2011 has seen us drive participation by harnessing the stories of several individuals whose lives have been affected by brain tumours. Other strands include the launch of the Centres of Hope campaign with actress Sheila Hancock and a publicity drive which aims to raise £7m for seven centres of excellence, to get seven times closer to a cure.

The campaigns have achieved high profile TV and national coverage and the charity is on track to double its fundraising achievements year on year.
