Last week, our long-term client Holland & Barrett, raised a remarkable £90,000 at their annual charity golf day and gala dinner with all money going to support Leicestershire’s Rainbows Hospice.

The event, hosted in Coventry’s Forest of Arden Golf Hotel and Spa, included a star studded 18 holes of golf – alongside the likes of TV presenter Gethin Jones and England Rugby star Martin Corry – and a round of clay pigeon shooting with our very own Chris Webb strutting away with the silver medal.

For those who prefer to be pampered, there was also the option to kick back and relax in the luxury spa facility with all proceeds from the day’s treatments and sporting events going towards the cause.

As the sun went down, the money raising continued with a three course gala dinner-dance and an exclusive auction hosted by Holland & Barrett CEO, Mr Peter Aldis.

The most sought after item on the bill was a once in a lifetime trip to New Zealand including tickets to see the Rugby World Cup semis and final which attracted a £10,000 winning bid – an amount which very much helped reach the fantastic grand total.

Rainbows Hospice provides support and care for life-limited children, young adults and their families. They were present on the evening discussing how the money raised was to be used to make an incredible difference to the children in their care.
